Latest weather update: As of 5:00 PM PST on July 26, 2023, Typhoon Egay has made landfall in the eastern portion of Babuyan Islands. It is now moving west-northwestward at 15 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 215 km/h. Forecast track: Typhoon Egay is forecast to cross the Luzon Strait and make landfall in the vicinity of Ilocos Norte on Thursday morning. It will then weaken as it moves inland and dissipate over China on Friday.
